ITS Info-communications Forum Fiscal 2005 General Assembly

The ITS Info-communications Forum held the Fiscal 2005 General Assembly on June 16, 2005 (Thursday), at the Kasumigaseki Plaza Hall. The conference was chaired by Dr. Shoichiro Toyoda, the honorary chairman of Toyota Motor Corporation.

Dr. Toyoda delivered the opening remarks at the general meeting. He commented that the dissemination of car navigation systems, VICS (Vehicle Information and Communication Systems) and ETC (Electronic Toll Collection) are proceeding smoothly, and expressed his hope for even higher levels of activity and progress in order to meet the increasingly sophisticated userfs needs in the ITS (Intelligent Transport System) sector.

After Dr. Toyoda finished, reports were given on the business activities and the settlement of financial accounts for fiscal 2004. This was followed by discussions on the business plan and financial budget for fiscal 2005, and the appointment of executives and Steering Committee members. All matters proposed and discussed were duly approved.
